Day 3 - Wednesday the 17th of September

Work progressed normally today. We laid the reinforced concrete (RCC) ring beam at the window sill level by noon today. So with this we have already cast three ring beams - one at foundation level, another at plinth level and the third today at sill level.

It was amusing to overhear some of the masons chatting, saying "with so many reinforced tie beams horizontally and vertically, the earth may go upside down but this school is going to stay put just like this".

In the afternoon when I came back after attending a staff monthly meeting at office, it was excitement again, of seeing the window frames go up.

Its late afternoon and now I must go to the Nepalgunj airport to pick up Satprem Maini, the head of Auroville Earth Institute in South India. He was responsible from bringing a lot of improvements in this CSEB technology. His first name is Indian but himself he is French. Goodbye for now.
