Community Development Resource Network (CDRN) is currently spearheading a pan-African study to ‘Africanise’ the concept of gender and gender approaches. ‘African perspectives to gender’ is the title of the study meant to come up with a new framework for gender work in Africa.

Web editor with MS DK Peter Bischoff visits Uganda early October to film partner representatives and DDWs. The footage will be used for publicity purposes and in the preparation of future Danish development workers.

Business administration student of Kampala International University Amiah Beatrice is working with MS Uganda’s account section and in the reception from 6th September to 6th November.

DDWs on the way are Peter Tholstrup who will work with NSEA in Koboko, and Anja Christiansen Sakaly, who will work with UPA in Nansana.

Long time development workers Hanne and Leif Westh have once more returned to Africa. This time to work on short term contracts for Danish Assistance to the Selfreliance Strategy, DASS, in Adjumani. MS is part of the DASS consortium.

Hoima Nursery Schools Development Association, HNSDA, opens its new office and workshop in mid October.
