The organisation MS ActionAid Denmark
MS ActionAid Denmark was founded in1944, transformed into an open members' association in 1974 and is now a member of ActionAid International.
MS ActionAid Denmark - former Danish Association for International Co-operation - was founded January 24th 1944 as "Fredsvenners Hjælpearbejde", at that time engaged in reconciliation and reconstruction in post World War Europe. In 1949 the organisation changed its name to "Mellemfolkeligt Samvirke" (MS), and in 1974 MS was transformed to an open members' organisation with individual and institutional members. In 2008 MS decided to affiliate with ActionAid International and is now a member of this international network.
