Welcome: Revisiting the starting point

Recognise the mzee? Leif Westh and his wife Hanne left Uganda by the end of April after having spent five years in West Nile. Now Leif Westh is back. And not only to Uganda but also to Sudan, where he almost 24 years ago started his long time affair with Africa. This time, the trained gardener is here on a short-term contract and he will be working in Northern Uganda and South Sudan with agricultural groups and New Sudan Education Association (NSEA). Since 1982, Leif Westh has lived and worked in Sudan, Congo Brazzaville, Namibia and Uganda. (mr)
