Well seeing the rising of the ocean in my country is among the biggest climate changes that I think is affecting me because I live closer to the ocean and the ocean water rises I think am even more and more effected as days goes by. In my country it is more of unpredictable weather pattern in which in one year we have too much rain and the other one its less. What does climate responsibility mean to you? Climate change affects my everyday life in such a way that the gases emitted from the industries and other fossil fuels destroy the ozone layer, thereby I am likely to be affected by some skin diseases like cancer. Also we are likely to receive acid rain which will not be good for our crops and that would basically mean that we will experience drought. Not only that, but also the fact that there would be drought means that the government would pump out funds to help people with food instead of using those funds on the education sector and maybe the medical sector. What does climate responsibility mean to you? Climate responsibility to me, it means that one has to have the environment at heart be committed as far as protecting the environment is concerned. Kiranda Stephen; 25; Uganda How does climate change affect your life? Changes in weather and unpredictable rainfall. Famine outbreak. Floods in my country is the order of the day. The temperature is increasing every day. Soil is loosing its fertility which leads to low agriculture production. What does climate responsibility mean to you? Climate responsibility to me means all people of the world have the responsibility of addressing climate issues in order to help in mitigation of negative effects of climate change and to help those that exposed to the negative effects effects of climate change to adapt. All citizens of the world have aduty and responsibility of managing climate change depending on their ability to do so. It is also true that climate responsibility mean that those that have contributed the greatest to global pollution and global warming must take the greatest burden of seeking global solutions to the rapid climate changes and its negative effects. |
