News from the Director
As we all are aware, 2005 is election year and I can today officially announce that MS-Tanzania’s Programme Officer Maselle Maziku wish to run for a seat in the parliament on a CCM ticket. He will contest for a seat in Msalala constituency in Kahama District.
I have agreed with Maselle that, for the nomination campaign within CCM Maselle Maziku will use his normal annual leave. If he, as expected, will succeed in being nominated by his party, Maselle Maziku will have 2 months of unpaid leave (Sept. & Oct.) from MS-Tanzania. If he then succesding in winning the seat, Maselle Maziku will start on his new carrier way (after a month handing-over), otherwise he will be most welcome back in his present profession as Programme Officer with MS-Tanzania.
I can truly say that from MS-Tanzania we wish him all the best. I know that he can perform the duties required as an MP and he will do it honestly, committed and principled as I have seen his performances here at the office.
Yours sincerely
Finn Petersen
Director
