Same Faces Every Time

I was among those privileged to attend the MS-Zambia Annual Meeting 2004. At the same time I am proud to state that after the meeting I had something to report on back to the organisation, which I represented. The meeting was a success and well organised it was a job well done.

At the meeting one of my colleagues remarked that from some partner organisations the same faces come to attend nearly all the meetings arranged my MS-Zambia.

This is very unfair because the chance of attending meetings should also be accorded to the other members. This will expose them to out side contacts and promotes the spirit of shared responsibilities within an organisation.

In a related development I have also observed that the PAB members who represent the partner organisations in Luapula Province are not seen because they do not visit the partners within the area where they are based. Why?

According to my understanding these people are supposed to be a direct link between the partner organisation and the Country Office. As a way forward this year we should see a change and indeed a positive one.

I am also expecting that the issue which was reported on the last MS-Zambia Annual Meeting concerning the establishment of the rural Community Tele centres in Kawambwa and Mfuwe will be completed before the date of the next Annual Meeting since information and communication is very important in this fast changing world.
