Caritas Kafue, inspired by the Gospel values and social teachings of the Church, strives to work with the grassroots towards integral human development by building sustainable local capacity through social awareness, training and accompaniment. The overall goal is to contribute to the reduction of poverty and mitigation of its effects through quality interventions.
The entry point of the interventions is through the various Parish Administrative structures which are very well structured up to the grassroots or community level. This is the biggest resource and most effective way of reaching the people that are most in need.
The Archdiocese of Lusaka has 62 Parishes, divided into 4 deaneries, namely, East, West, South and Kabwe, comprising both urban and rural. The Archdiocese covers Lusaka and, to a larger extent, Central Provinces of Zambia. Lusaka Province has 4 districts, namely Lusaka, Chongwe, Kafue and Luangwa.
