Star FM (formerly known as Greater Yei FM) is a community based radio covering Yei River, Morobo and Lainya Counties. The radio was established in 2008 with the purpose of disseminating, sharing and receiving information.

Star FM (formerly known as Greater Yei FM) is a community based radio covering Yei River, Morobo and Lainya Counties. The radio was established in 2008 with the purpose of disseminating, sharing and receiving information.
The radio is in the process of establishing its own studio and is planning to broadcast on its own frequency. Until the radio is fully
established, it broadcasts programs on existing commercial radio stations.
The radio has fifteen active journalists trained specifically for the radio to collect news articles covering incidents happening in Yei River, Morobo and Lainya Counties. The journalists are working voluntarily and they are recruited from the three counties so that they can access information in all locations and involve citizens from all three counties in the radio programs.

- Conducting debates, talk shows and programs on various educative topics
- Producing civic education programs recorded with Across Radio Program with the collaboration of MS Sudan and then presented in Sprit FM
