Terekeka Women Association was formed in 2008 as the first and only women association in Terekeka County. The organisation seeks to reach women in the whole of the county.

- Advocacy for women’s rights
- Voter education
During the time of voter registration in November and December 2009, the women association played an important role in preparing the community for this challenging exercise.
The organisation has the wish to continue its efforts to make women aware of the importance of democracy and transparency. In addition, the organisation is planning to build accommodation facilities as an income generating activity as well as make soap and food to sell in the market. The women also have plans to build a fish pond and grow crops.
