AMOPROC – Mozambican Association for the Promotion of Citizenship
AMOPROC is a non-profit, national organisation, legally formed in 2003 by teaching staff, students and community members on a voluntary basis, which has 5 years of experience with the implementation of programmes that aim to promote activities that increase the level of participation by ordinary citizens.

Vision:
To be a modern, effective institution in the defence of the Democratic State of Law in the promotion of citizenship and the safeguarding of social justice.
Mission:
To contribute to the strengthening and the consolidation of the Democratic State of Law in favour of the full exercise of citizenship.
Main activities
1. Training civil society for its participation in the planning, management, monitoring and evaluation of local projects, which promote local development;
2. Strengthening the dialogue between civil society and the local public institutions;
3. Civic education of citizens to improve access to information on the use and management of public funds.
Target group
Direct:
- Young people and students (secondary schools, high schools, technical schools, universities and private schools from secondary and university levels);
- Children and students;
- Civil society organisations; and
- Local government representatives.

- All citizens.
