Coordinadora Civil / Civic Coordinator
The civic coordinator is a national network of CSO. It main role is to influence the definition of public policies through citizen participation in the formulation process and monitoring of their implementation.

Coordinadora Civil (CC) is a national network of thematic and geographical networks. Thematic networks members of the CC are: the network for Democracy and Local Development, Children Network, Women against Violence network, Education Forum, etc. Geographic networks are organized in the different departments (provinces) along the country.
The CC has since 1999 played a central role in several macro–initiatives like for instance the in the formulation of the Poverty Reduction Strategy Paper, thus assuring the popular participation required. The CC has also involved itself in themes like the national annual budget, the Consultative group meetings, social audits, and education. This umbrella structure has in a very short period of time become the country’s mayor civil society voice, frequently quoted by media and consulted by international development agencies.
