Danish Gymnasts are coming to Uganda

The National Danish Performance Team in Gymnastics will visit Uganda   from March 23rd – March 31st.

The team will conduct workshops and performances in Nakasongola and Apac the 24.th March, in Otwal the 25.th of March, Masindi the 26.th of March and in Kampala the 30.th of March. The very highlight of the tour will be the the workshop and the performance in the IDP-camp of Otwal on the 25. th of March.

The host of the National Danish Performance Team while staying in Uganda is the Ugandan partner of The Danish Association for International Cooperation (MS) : Recreation for Development and Peace (RDP). RPD-Uganda is working in the villages and subcounties of Masindi, Apac and Nakasongola Districts. The aim is to create sustainable peace and socio-economic development by bridging diverse cultural ethnicity and post conflict through activities as sports, traditional dancing, drama and cultural exchanges.

During the last 10 years this team has visited more than 45 countries all over the world – and with great success. It is the socond time the team is visiting Uganda. Last time was in January 2002.
