Democracy as a way of life is a civic education programme initiated by MS Uganda and her partners already in 1999.

Democracy has been a focus area for MS Uganda since 1999. We have continuosly worked with good governance and advocacy based on democratic principles with our partners and also developed democracy education material meant for civic education to be used in primary and secondary schools and by local authorities and civic society organisations.

Democracy is a political system but it is also about personal responsibility, accountability, fairness, tolerance and selflessness. It is about participation and how we all relate to our families, friends, neighbours and opponents. Democracy is a way of life.
