No women on board?Forget all about business
The Norwegian Minister for Equal Opportunities wants to close down companies with less than 40% female board members by 2007. This reaffirms the Norwegian equality legislation’s reputation as ‘the world’s toughest’.
Environmentally friendly fish
The United Nations FAO in March 2005 adopted voluntary guidelines for eco-labelling fish products. Which involve a tag certifying that a product was produced in an environment friendly way. Consumers can soon rest assured about the fish product they intend to eat by checking for certifying tags.
A sad fact
Transparency International's 2004 bribery index for Kenya documents that the prevalence of bribery among NGOs / CSOs and religious organisations, ranks both in the top 10.
