HODFA and BUWA scoop marketplace awards

Hoima District Farmers’ Association, HODFA, and Budongo United Women’s Association, BUWA, emerged winners during the annual marketplace exhibition - again. Judges were led by MS Denmark’s Secretary General Lars Udsholt, assisted by Dr. Dominic Walubengo from MS Kenya, Ms Caritas Mukankusi from MS TCDC, Arusha, and Ms Josephine Kimaro of MS Tanzania.

The two organisations beat 21 others at a lively show attended by over 100 participants in the Annual Meeting. Criteria for the award included impact on poverty eradication and visual impression.

HODFA and BUWA seem to know how to meet those criteria: They also took the prizes last year, bringing home each a framed copy of the MS Uganda democracy posters.
