Campaign for peace in Kenya

Mellemfolkeligt Samvirke in Denmark, the mother organisation of MS Kenya, is preparing a naional collection campaign to take place in Denmark on Sunday May 18^th.
The outcome of the nation wide door to door collection will be channeled to peace- and reconcilliation activities in Kenya.
"After the political deal has been signed we now hope that the coming period will be utilized to work on necessary political and economic reforms – and to reestablish faith in the democratic system. Mellemfolkeligt Samvirke and partners sees it as a major task to reunite the parties who have been opposing each other during the recent conflict. It is crucial that the civil society works seriously on carrying out this task over the next year as a way to actively prevent violence in Kenya” states Frans Mikael Jansen, the Secretary General of Mellemfolkeligt Samvirke and adds:
“At Mellemfolkeligt Samvirke we are already preparing for the National Collection Campaign on May 18^th.”
