Networking involves learning and sharing from each other in order to improve knowledge and capability of dealing with common or shared issues.

MS and other civil society organisation in Denmark enter into alliances to carrying out specific development activities in developing countries. Simultaneously, professional networks are established through which a number of organisations join hands for improving their knowledge and capability in a specific field.

Networking can take place in a formal forum or informally.

MS acknowledges that engaging in greater co-operation provides a number of opportunities but at the same time proves to be resource consuming. So MS focuses on consolidating the formation of south partners’ networks and development of south partners’ initiatives for poverty reduction strategies laid down by their governments.

The vocabulary of development work is becoming a language of its own. Different organisations define and use the words in different ways. On this page, we explain how MS interprets some of the concepts.
