Under the 'Anti-Corruption' component, MS Uganda mainly operates at regional and national level. We support partners to design and implement civic education components related to the fight against corruption, especially in the education and health sectors. Our efforts entail empowerment of partners to advocate that local government institutions should be transparent and responsive to corruption cases raised by community members, especially through the establishment of regional anti-corruption committees. We support civil society organisations advocating for the implementation of recommendations from anti-graft instituitons. Among thes are the Inpectorate General of Government, the Auditor General, the Public Accounts Committee. MS Uganda furthermore assists partners to ensure increased internal transpercy, accountability and credibility. 30% of all MS Uganda resources in 2008 - 2011 are allocated to the struggle against corruption.
