Become a workshop facilitator

Raise awareness about diversity!
Based on young people’s experiences of discrimination, we have developed two workshops: “Social inequality and privilege” and “Power in social relations”. We are currently seeking more facilitators who want to be part of this relatively new group in Copenhagen.

We are seeking young people ages 20 to 35 who are interested in conveying and sharing knowledge about power, racism and discrimination. Examples of workshop participants include: students in 7th to 9th grade, upper secondary school students, or students at universities and colleges in Copenhagen and throughout Zealand.

There are no specific requirements in terms of academic and professional background. The most important thing is that you are curious about the target group and passionate about making a positive difference for other young people. At Mellemfolkeligt Samvirke, you can volunteer regardless of whether your interest stems from your studies, your network, or your job, etc.

Volunteers typically conduct one workshop (2-3 hours) per month together with one or two other volunteers.

WORKSHOP ON INEQUALITY AND PRIVILEGE

In this workshop, you will help give students insight into social inequality in Denmark, where the focus is on privilege, inequality and structural racism.

WORKSHOP ON POWER IN SOCIAL RELATIONS

In this workshop you can help give students a real eye-opener. Through forum theater and techniques of dominance, they gain tools to identify and break with everyday discrimination.
