The Climate Debt Agents are on an important and difficult mission during COP15. Therefore we need as many volunteers as possible to dress up in our agent suits and come join our agent force during COP15.
The agents will be present everywhere around the city throughout the entire summit to remind the politicians that money is needed to have a climate deal. Therefore, we need you to stand guard at the following locations on the days and times that suit you.
Kastrup Airport:
Saturday 5th & Sunday 6th of Dec the agents must be ready at the airport so that already from when the politicians arrive to CPH they will draw attention to the agents' presence. Agents will, individually or in pairs, walk around the airport and act cool and observing - the agents' mere presence will be enough to make the politicians aware that they are being watched.
Bella Centre (In front of the main entrance):
The actual negotiations are taking place in the Bella Centre. It is therefore important that the agents are markedly present at the entrance, so that the politicians will be reminded about the money matter as they arrive and as they go home. The agents' mission here is also to make the many journalists aware of the agent’s mission, so that the politicians will feel even greater pressure from the agents through the medias.
DGI Byen (Climate Forum 09):
In the DGI Byen (city) the alternative climate summit of the civil society is taking place. It brings together NGOs, environmental groups and others to discuss and raise awareness of the climate issue. Agents must here draw attention to the financial part of the climate issue and must therefore inform and be present here throughout the summit.
Town Hall Square (Hopenhagen):
Hopenhagen is a series of events taking place in the Town Hall Square throughout the summit. Here, a large proportion of the public will spend time, either for events or by passing by. It is therefore important that the agents are making the people aware of our mission, so that they can help put pressure on the politicians. The agents are here to provide information about the mission and again be present to raise awareness.
As you can see the agents are to be all over Copenhagen, so join our agent force and help us complete the mission. You only need to sign up on the following time-table on the places and times you prefer and you will receive an email with more information when the summit is approaching.
